Privacy Policy – Motonia

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Morobo LLC ("Morobo," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use Motonia.

Motonia is intended for adults aged 18 and older. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the app.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Account Identity

Username, email address, and profile image
Authentication and account security records

2.2 Precise Location Data

Real-time GPS location for navigation, free-ride/Explore, and live-rider map features
Location used to determine proximity voice range and group ride positioning
Location context used for hazard and route relevance

2.3 Microphone / Voice Audio

When you turn on proximity voice chat or join a group voice chat, your microphone is used to transmit live audio to other participants.
We do NOT record, store, or sell your voice audio — it is streamed in real time through our voice provider and then gone.

2.4 Ride and Safety Data

Routes, trip stats, and ride history
Top speed and other ride telemetry shown on community leaderboards
Hazard and police reports submitted by users
Moderation reports, blocks, and enforcement records

2.5 Diagnostics and Analytics

Crash logs, performance diagnostics, and app usage analytics
Device/app metadata necessary to improve reliability and security

3. How We Use Data

Navigation and ride modes: Routing, free-ride, and Explore functionality
Safety: Hazard and police awareness and safety-related map context
Live-rider visibility and voice: Show riders and enable proximity/group voice according to your settings
Community leaderboards: Display ride and top-speed standings from self-reported telemetry
Account and security: Authentication, abuse prevention, and enforcement
Reliability: Debugging, performance monitoring, and service improvement

4. Information Shared With Other Users

When you enable live-rider visibility or join a proximity or group session, other users may see your approximate real-time location, username, profile image, motorcycle, movement, and (in voice sessions) hear your live voice. You control this with the visibility setting (All / Friends / None) and by leaving sessions. Hazard and police reports you submit are shared with nearby users.

5. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell personal information.

Service providers/processors: We share data only as needed to operate Motonia, including Mapbox (maps/navigation), Supabase (backend/auth/data), and LiveKit (real-time voice transport).
Legal compliance: We may disclose data when required by law, court order, or to protect safety, rights, or property.
Business operations: Limited, secure disclosure for audits, security response, or lawful corporate transactions.

6. User Controls

Location and microphone permissions: You can grant or revoke precise location and microphone access in your device settings.
Live-rider visibility: You can choose visibility options such as All, Friends, or None.
Voice chat: You can turn proximity/group voice on or off, and mute or block other users.
Reporting: You can report users or content (including from the live-rider card).
Account deletion: You can request account deletion and associated personal data removal via contact@morobo.org.

7. Data Retention

Account records: Retained while account is active; deleted or anonymized within 30 days after verified deletion request, except where legally required.
Ride, safety, and leaderboard records: Retained for up to 24 months to support user history, safety analysis, and abuse prevention; then deleted or aggregated.
Moderation and security logs: Retained up to 36 months for trust and safety enforcement.
Diagnostics: Retained up to 12 months unless needed longer for ongoing incident investigations.
Live voice audio: Not recorded and not retained.

8. Security

Encryption in transit (TLS)
Role-based access controls and least-privilege access
Operational monitoring and incident response procedures
Security review processes for infrastructure and application changes

9. Children

Motonia is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18.

10. Your Rights and Requests

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data. To make a privacy or account deletion request, email contact@morobo.org.
