Morobo ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Thriftaholic mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the App. Please read this policy carefully. By accessing or using the App you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account we collect your email address, username, and optional profile details such as a profile photo, clothing sizes, style preferences, and favorite brands. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive limited profile information (name, email) from the identity provider; we do not receive your password.

1.2 User-Generated Content

When you create a post we collect the photographs you upload, the item description, category, price, and the store location you associate with the post. This content is stored on our servers and displayed publicly to other users of the App.

1.3 Location Data

With your permission we collect your device's precise geographic location (latitude and longitude) to display nearby thrift stores and to show you relevant posts. Location is obtained through the device's GPS, Wi-Fi, or cellular network. You may revoke location permission at any time through your device settings; however, some features of the App will not function without it.

1.4 Camera and Photo Library

With your permission we access your device camera to let you take photos of items to post and to scan items using our AI Scanner feature. We also access your photo library to let you select existing photos for posts or your profile picture. Photos used with the AI Scanner are transmitted to our server for processing and are not retained after the analysis is complete.

1.5 Device Information and Identifiers

We automatically collect certain device information including device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and, where applicable and with your consent, the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) for the purpose of serving personalized ads.

1.6 Usage Data

We collect information about how you interact with the App, including pages and features accessed, posts viewed, likes, searches, time spent on screens, and crash reports. This data helps us improve the App and diagnose technical issues.

1.7 Push Notification Tokens

If you opt in to push notifications we collect your device push token to send you alerts about wishlist matches, community activity, and other updates. You may disable push notifications in your device settings at any time.

1.8 Payment and Subscription Data

Premium subscriptions are processed and managed entirely by Apple through In-App Purchases. We do not collect or store your credit card number or payment credentials. We receive a confirmation of your subscription status (active, expired, or cancelled) from our subscription management partner (RevenueCat) to unlock Premium features.

1.9 AI Scanner Data

When you use the AI Scanner feature, the photograph you submit is sent to our server-side function, which forwards a processed (resized) version to OpenAI's API for analysis. A web search query may also be generated and sent to the Brave Search API to obtain resale pricing data. We do not retain the image or search results after the analysis response is returned to you.

4. Cookies, Local Storage, and Similar Technologies

The App uses browser local storage (not traditional cookies) to store your preferences (such as dark mode, onboarding status, and cached location). This data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers except as part of normal App functionality. Third-party advertising SDKs may use their own tracking technologies as described in Section 5.

Non-Premium users see advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use device identifiers (including IDFA, where consented), IP address, and usage data to serve personalized or contextual ads.
